The Art Deco Masonic Hotel is delighted to announce that infamous British born flapper and Art Deco cabaret singer Forget-Me-Not aka Sharon Elizabeth will be the resident artist for the ‘Art Deco Showtime’ summer season from 7 October 2011 to 5 April 2012. This beguiling flapper straight from London will sparkle in New Zealand’s most famous Art Deco city with a variety of musical shows which will include popular songs of the 20s and 30s. In true 1930’s glamour this stylish period will become real once more in the authentic surroundings of the Art Deco Masonic Hotel’s restored deco Restaurant the ‘Med’ where, Forget-Me-Not, dressed to impress in period costume, will woo the audience on stage with her charming voice and personality, beautifully accompanied by her beau, English Composer Paul Lewis at the baby grand piano.

There will be a show on offer almost daily. A variety of shows will be performed including:
  • Forgotten Love Songs and Loves Best Forgotten - a dazzling collection of period songs that will romance your heart and comic cabaret to tickle your fancy!
  • Around The world with Forget-Me-Not - a whirlwind musical world tour aboard Cruise Ship 'Imagination' performing popular 1920-30s songs and grand opera and docking for the odd cocktail and witty interlude on the way.
  • Deco Delights – a delightful introduction to the songs and personalities of the deco period such as Helen Kane, Jack Buchanan and the ‘De-lovely’ Cole Porter.
